Last week, the second bridge-mounted dry fire hydrant installation was completed in New Marlborough, Massachusetts. This project took place on Harrisville Mill River Road at the bridge over the Konkapot River. The installation featured our angle mount design equipped with the Vermont High Hat clamp. The clamp was used because drilling into the bridge structure was not feasible for this location.

This marks the third installation in New England using the clamp design. The success of these projects has allowed for an expansion in the types of bridges where these systems can be installed.

The Harrisville Mill River Road installation included an ETT 6-inch female suction head, an ETT 6-inch stream strainer, and the Jericho Ice Breaker feature. Support from Chief Loring and the New Marlborough Fire and Rescue Department has played an important role in improving access to water supplies in the town.
