From our 2012 seminar in Seneca County, NY, here are several photos showing a homemade water transfer device being used during our two-hour tanker shuttle drill. The six-inch PVC jet siphon tube was locally constructed and successfully transferred water throughout the event.
While there is no specific information available about the flow capacity of the device, it moved enough water to effectively support fire flow operations overall. This demonstration highlights that sometimes locally made equipment can be highly effective in real-world situations.
