Earlier this week we finished the installation of another one of our bridge-mount dry fire hydrants in Harford County, Maryland....this time on Poteet Road at the bridge over the East Branch of Winters Run. We have over two dozen bridge mount installations in Harford County; the folks there have worked really hard over the past few years to upgrade their static water sources both in terms of distribution and ease of use. The Poteet Road installation used our angle-mount design and an ETT 6-inch NH female suction head and an ETT 6-inch stream strainer. Lift at the location was around 11-ft and the elevation was 460 feet. Using Jarrettsville VFC's Supply 7 (1500 gpm) water supply unit we were able to produce a 1216 gpm flow during the flow test. Many thanks once again to the folks in Harford County for choosing our product.
The bridge-mount DFH was able to produce a 1216 gpm flow using Supply 7....a 1500 gpm water supply rig.
Supply 7 carries a short length of 6-inch suction for use on the bride-mount DFHs.
