While in Iowa last month we got to see a 1250 gpm rear mount pumper in action at a tanker fill site. Built by Boise Mobile Equipment and operated by the Colwell VFD, the pumper did a nice job of operating from an "open relay" to load tankers. The days of new front mount pumps are pretty much gone....and we rarely see a rear mount pump out in the municipal world. Other than a main suction inlet a bit lower than the dump tank rail, the rig operated just fine. We only have a couple of photos of the rig.....both from the rear...sorry. |
