Pictured is a mini-pumper built by Swab Wagon Company in Pennsylvania for the Mariaville VFD in Pattersonville, NY. The design looks like a nice water supply unit for FDs who operate such apparatus. It is built on a Ford chassis with an Deutz engine driven 1000 GPM Darley pump and a 650 gallon water tank. The unit also has hose bed storage for 500' of 4" supply hose plus a booster reel. Most interesting is the top mount pump configuration and the 25' pre-connected "squirrel tail" suction hose. Both are handy features on a rural water supply unit.
