There are many choices in tanker design. During our travels around North America we often get to see new deliveries...many times folks bring the new tankers to our seminars. During our September seminar in Sherrills Ford, North Carolina we got a chance to take a look at and use Denver FD's new, 2,000-gallon Fouts Brothers tanker. The single-axle tanker is equipped with a 500 gpm PTO-driven Hale fire pump and carries twin, 2,100-gallon dump tanks. The tanker is a good fit for the type of roads and waterfront access issues encountered in the Denver, NC area and the rig did a nice job of hauling water during our 2-hour drill.
